機材番｜Watching the Gear 歌詞（COLD OPEN）

We found out the last train had gone, right at the ticket gate
Three of us sat down, still holding our gear
Using the drum case for a chair
The vending machine light was strangely white
Nobody looked at the timetable

There’s a way home if we went looking
But nobody looked at their phone

We’re watching the gear till morning, don’t fall asleep
While we still remember tonight’s sound
Let’s start talking about the next song
Till the night is over, this is our green room

The post-show review goes on and on
The bassist keeps re-singing the chorus harmony
We split a convenience-store bento three ways
Nobody said it was cold
Saying it felt like losing

Tomorrow’s job is tomorrow’s problem
Right now, this moment is enough

We’re watching the gear till morning, stay awake
Let’s decide what’s next sitting on the cases
Arguing over the first song of the set
Till the night is over, this is our green room

Some stranger passing by the station
Looked at the pile of gear and smiled a little
That’s fine, we’re a band
When morning comes we’ll just carry it again

More than worrying
that someone might steal the gear
I hated
that this night would end

We’re watching the gear till morning, don’t fall asleep
While we still remember tonight’s sound
Let’s start talking about the next song
Till the night is over, this is our green room

We’re watching the gear till morning, stay awake
Until we hear the first train
Even if your voice is gone, keep laughing
Till the night is over, this is our green room

We’re watching the gear till morning, don’t fall asleep
I’ve got tonight’s sound down by heart
The next song is settled
When the night is over, shall we load out
This is our green room

Till the night is over
